Every day I try to approach my painting time with an intention to move another step forward in developing my artistic skills, and sometimes I think, -- well, actually "recognize" might be the more appropriate verb -- I take myself far too seriously. But, I am who I am ... and I want to be better at something I really love!
That being said...today, I felt like "simplifying" my composition -- especially with color, but also with detail. I determined the shapes could maintain their own attention, and therefore my goal (again) would be to develop a relationship between the two objects.
And today, I have to say: I like this painting...it is fresh, interesting and comfortable -- in facts, it works. Yippie!
