My first painting…”The Sunshine in My Heart”, reflects the imperfectness of a cluttered space when reality brings in the great outdoors. Lord, this puppy wasn’t easy to produce, especially working on top of an old canvas, but it allowed me not to be perfect, but to be an observer.
My second painting…”Not so Proud”, reflects the slowly eroding beauty of the flowers as they pass along to their next beginning. But, behold, there continues to be life, and a reflection of time that stands still, and even when the darkness wants to take over — like the original under painting in this piece — there is life that springs forward.
I sure don’t mean to sound like I am preaching or reaching, but I feel as though I can find beauty today in some sadness…for without the comparison, the gift of the moment has truly no relevance.
I learned from this experience…don’t give up.
