I like the contrasts in this painting. The footprint of this previously painted piece included the bright orange and “mellow” green, along with the non-painted section in the green, and the blockings for the four objects on the right. But, the details all happened today…

I had an itch…I had not used the matt knife with my oil paints. But, I thought today would be a great opportunity to try this tool And, I am happy I did. I like the contrasts between the static and the very busy. I also appreciate the contrasts with “suggestion” vs “concrete.”

And, I added a bit more collage to the painting than it previously had.

I am surprisingly happy with my painting.

This looks very Cree to me, with the new elements sliding right in with the established Cree-ness. Very nice.

And, another lively comment from you. Thank you!!!
