And, today, I approached this particular painting, on a previously painted canvas, from a totally different point of view.
Giorgio Morandi is one of my absolutely favorite painters. His subtle colors and his focus on small containers has always intrigued my curiosity. Many years ago, I actually painted this painting, which I edited today. I played with the colors, shapes and details to bring alive a painting I was never before happy with. The flowers added a new dimension to the composition, while changes in color on the vessels and in the foreground and background subtly allowed for my flowers to remain sensitive and equally as important as their surroundings.
I am happy!
