Golly…Artist Alberto Giacometti was right as he labored through a painting saying, “It is impossible to do a thing the way I see it because the closer I get the more differently I see.” This amazing artist, who shared his angst in creating a work of art, makes me believe there is a reason I struggle to find my way through a painting.
Yesterday and today, as I worked over and over my start on yet another old painting, I had to constantly edit the old, add to the new and tweak and tweak between this spot and that.
But, as it is time to submit another painting for one-a-day-for thirty days, I will move on and begin to think about what lies ahead for tomorrow!
