Another long exercise that exhausted me. And then, when I thought I was finished, I realized I liked the painting in an earlier rendition. So…back to editing and re-creating some energy and movement in the composition.
I will note that in the course of this painting, the heat in San Diego grew worse by the hour, and there was no air movement in the studio. I don’t want to sound like a bad sport…but, the day was not invigorating for producing with a positive attitude. But, after the sun went down, and the hot air seemed to evaporate, I actually felt as though I could finish “My Glasses Bust be Somewhere.”
The good news is, I still want to paint tomorrow and I think Bernard Cathelin or Morandi might be my inspirations…hopefully we will have fun tomorrow.
