Taking a break from collage, I fell in love with this composition and decided I had to paint! And, I included a small piece of my palette to be consistent with my concept of working with collage. (Sometimes it is a treat to create all the colors and use straight lines...the artist in me does have a voice, and I have to listen to her!)

Collage has captured my heart!
Seems strange admitting that I am taking a jump off the mountain and focusing on my love of the blank canvas, the addition of paint and mostly collage. My experimenting is invigorating. And, as you can see, I keep working on my pieces.
I made the addition of two figures to this birch panel,
sharing our hopes for our country...making relationships thoughtful and learning from our past and growing into our better future.

Our world has changed. Our hearts are lost for answers.
But as Americans we will move forward
finding a better way to communicate.

Wow...2020 has been an interesting challenge. Aside from the weather and the Corona Virus, conversations are slightly less exciting, but I feel as though I have had a chance to re-think my art, and I've challenged spatial relationships and the results have been rather interesting.

The process of painting is a dream...I let the influences
move me or fight against my direction. Whatever happens
is a way to grow, to find my voice and to appreciate the opportunity to be in Vero Beach, FL.
Painting for my first two years
in Vero Beach at Deborah Gooch's Studio was a true blessing!
I remain very thankful!
