PictureHide-N-Seek, oil on birch, 10 x 10"

Sometimes we need a nudge to recall the most simple of times, when it appeared as though we didn't have a worry in the world. I thought my gently painted rose, in a vase, felt ever so comfortable, but I couldn't let go of the contrary ideas softly twirling in my head. I decided the rose needed support by a "lift-up" from what could be considered a book. And, then, of course, she couldn't be stranded on a book without a calming environment and tranquil landscape. Reality set in, and I had to offer some more "ground work," which I think actually works well for the composition and (again) movement of color, not to mention a steady foundation.
OK I've gone too far in illustrating further the thoughts that floated throughout my head as I softly painted this piece. I am happy...and I hope you can let go and be reminded of a care-free moment in your life that lifted your heart and gave you strength to laugh and maybe you will enjoy the rest of your day/evening. Good Luck.

Cree your painting is as beautiful as your descriptive lifting words. Even more beautiful. You surely are a dedicated artist who's heart and sole always shares your canvas. Never stop, this is your passion.
