Happiness IS being an artist at the Ocean Drive Gallery, Vero Beach, FL

PictureJust one grouping of "Cree Art" at the Ocean Drive Gallery,
3349 Ocean Drive, Suite 8, 2nd Floor.
A very exciting moment in time for me. I am thrilled to be included with Elise Geary, Margaret Goembel and Gail Fayerweather.
Plus, I will share more art very soon.

I am so thankful for my friends and clients who share their "Cree paintings' in their own spaces. Happiness is an awesomely personal choice. I am glad I can assist!

Friends are often wonderful contributors to my website.

Having lived in Princeton, NJ for 20 years, my husband and I made many friends before our moves to CA and to FL.  Friends are always a special treat to enjoy. And, having friends who like my art and wanted a "Cree" original is always extra special.

The colorful painting on the far left was commissioned by my friends for their living room.
It looks wonderful in their eclectically tailored home in the Palm Beach area.

My friends are happy and so am I!!!

Sometimes with the help of a friend, or even a
son-in-law, people from around the country
find out about my work. This photo was
shared over the holidays. Our friend Priscilla continues to be happy with her
Cree painting in Indiana!
Happy Days!!!

This piece was one of my favorites!
(You can tell color has not been a priority for me.)
And, the new owners are very happy!

Aways fun to share pleasant news

"Dreams Last Forever", oil on canvas, 40 x 30" is hanging peacefully in a beautiful home in Winter Park, Florida. And, seeing the painting in place pleases me to no end! Thank you!!! I am very grateful for clients sharing their purchases with me.

This painting was one within an orchid series included in my "Color, Texture, Love" show in La Jolla, CA a few years ago. What fun it is to remember that show and the people who so kindly attended the opening night celebration and enthusiastically shared their appreciation for my art!

It is also very nice to have the painting close to me and the opportunity to visit my very special friend!

Photos from Illinois!
A special teacher has started to
collect my work.
And delightfully,
she shared the pieces in her Illinois home. The wall colors, and quiet spaces have
come more alive with art!

What a pleasant surprise!
San Diego, California
A client gleefully shared her brand new frame on her "Cree" purchase. "Finding a Secret Place" has a comfortable lovely new home and doesn't it look beautiful!!!
Job well done, Claudia. (frame is perfecto!!!)

Working with Alzheimer's
was a very special opportunity allowing Cree to work
with new friends for years

Cree's meeting her 2012 "pairing partner" and his painting (far right) at the Alzheimer's luncheon reception for all the "artists" was the best experience she can remember from all the years being involved with this special fundraising project. Her partner's fine painting struck Cree in so many directions. She had to share the structure as well as the life of his painting through the roots and living organisms on the tree itself. Cree loved the simplicity of his painting and tried to emulate his intention as she painted on two panels of canvas (note: left image details), leaving the space between for the emphasis of simplicity.

This painting is hanging in an early cottage -- said to be over 100 years old. And, the gardens that surround this special place are simple, lovely and well nurtured.
It appears that Cree's painting is bringing the sunshine into the cottage in more ways than one.

(middle) Los Angeles, California
The couple who proudly displays their Cree painting loves their contemporary home and the soft palette of her paintings. This isn't the only piece they have, but they exclaimed "Your paintings add a touch of our travels to remind us that we are the luckiest couple we know!"

One lucky client has a favorite painting over her bar in her newly renovated home. She enthusiastically shared this photo exclaiming that "your painting makes my home sing! Thank you very much!!!"

transforming a condo in Upper State New York...

The art of painting is a fascinating process for Cree. Her discoveries go far beyond the canvas. She appreciates the friends she has made, especially the expanded network of artists
and art appreciators.
There also is the happenstance situations that simply fall into one's lap.
She accepted the challenge of being responsible for "staging" a condo for re-sale. Her re-arrangement of furniture, the placement of new art and existing art created a warm and inviting place to live! The unit
sold along with these three paintings by Cree. Fun!!!

a true story

This painting disappeared. It was hanging in a San Diego coffee shop...and it simply is not there any more. Cree really was sad to find the painting gone!...She worked on this piece for years, saying "I just couldn't make it right." But, she persisted ... and as you can see, this is a pretty interesting mixed media creation.
In your travels, if you happen to notice this painting on someone's wall, would you ask the person if he/she wouldn't mind emailing: creescudder@gmail.com

Cree is hopeful someone will share with her the story behind
this painting having found a new home.

Cree truly appreciates having her very own private detectives!
Thank you!

a short story

A lovely La Jolla resident recently passed away. Barbara was
the very good friend of Cree's dear friend. The three ladies
often had lunch together and enjoyed one another's company.
A few weeks after Barbara's memorial service, someone found Cree's website on a google search and contacted her to share she loved Cree's work. (How nice!) The emailer was most interested in a floral painting Cree had done that was at auction. (painting to the left)
The painting had belonged to Barbara!
After a few weeks passed by, Cree learned that the emailer was unable to win the bid for her painting, but she certainly was kind to fill Cree in on the details.

So...if you see "The Sunshine's Pirouette" hanging anywhere along your travels, please let Cree know.
